Maker Space Class Descriptions

• Class sizes are limited, sign up early!
• Classes are for 14 years old and up. Younger youth can attend when accompanied by an adult. We enjoy teaching youth and some classes are designed for youth. Special classes can be designed for specific groups. Contact one of the instructors for more information.
• A liability waiver is required for everyone, parents must sign for youth under 18 years.
• Contact the instructor for more information or to register for a class.
• Fees are due on the first session of the class.

We opened our Maker Space to the community so you can work on your favorite project. You are also welcome to just come and take a tour of our Maker Space. People can also come to get help using the 3 D printer and the CNC router. What is 3D printing? How does it work? These questions and more will be answered in this introductory class. You will work on a basic 3D printer(supplied) learning how to set up, print and do basic troubleshooting of problems. You will be able to take a complete 3D printer kit home to use for a month. You don’t need any experience to take this class. You will learn about the parts of a wood lathe, how to operate and how to use the tools. You will complete three projects to take home, spindle, wooden pen, a segmented wood bowl. This class will have three sessions. This is an introductory class to learn how to make signs several different styles using a CNC Router and Vcarve software. All materials will be supplied including the software to use. Registration closes 7 days before the class starts so we have time to secure materials for each class. If there is not enough interest in a class, it will be cancelled.
