AWC’s Projects have the following goals:
1) Decrease Food Waste (According to Guardian report 2016, roughly 50% of all produce in the United States is thrown away – some 60 million tons, $160 billion worth of produce annually, an amount constituting one third of all food)
2) Increase Fresh from the Farm, Local Produce (vegetables and fruits) being used in food pantries, community meal sites, summer programs, and at home
3) Increase Nutrition (Recipes and nutrition education)
